Welcome to the UIUC Professors to Schools program, connecting your classroom to the University of Illinois

NCSA is evaluating options for the future of the Professors To Schools program.

If you are interested in bringing a professor into your school virtually as currently described on this website, please send a request to the following email: trecc-ed@ncsa.uiuc.edu

Objective:
To light the intellectual fires of generations to come . . .

Bring University of Illinois professors directly into your classroom by providing personal interactive videoconferencing sessions. Your students will have the opportunity to engage with today’s most innovative scientists and mathematicians without stepping foot off of school grounds.

Program Details:

The University of Illinois is offering free, 30-minute videoconferencing sessions for math and science classes (grades 6-12) in the state of Illinois. Each session will be personalized to fit your class schedule and the specific needs of your class. Our topics are geared toward state and national standards and will engage your students in a way that transcends the typical classroom setting.

Topics available:

The “Topics” list that we offer is constantly changing according to the suggestions we receive from educators around Illinois, as well as suggestions from UIUC Professors. Note that it takes some time once a topic is suggested for us to find a Professor on campus to teach that subject. Please keep checking back to the “Topics” page to find your topic being offered.
