Professor Andrew Leakey Dr. Andrew Leakey does research on the processes which control how plants respond to their environment – in particular, he wants to understand how global climate change will impact the way plants provide us with food, fuel, fiber, clean air and water. He did his Ph.D. research in the rainforest of Borneo, before moving from Great Britain to the University of Illinois as a Fulbright Scholar in 2002. He is now an Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant Biology and the Institute for Genomic Biology. |
