Professor Lisa Ainsworth

Dr Lisa Ainsworth investigates crop responses to global climate change. She is interested in understanding patterns of leaf growth and development, and the molecular and biochemical responses of crops to elevated atmospheric carbon dioxide and ozone concentrations. Dr. Ainsworth received her B.S. at UCLA, her Ph.D. at UIUC, and was an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow in Germany before joining the USDA/ARS Photosynthesis Research Unit.
